Chad was Michael Jackson and I was a Vampire by default...Supperclub theme this week was vampires...so I rolled with it...

Hope you all have a safe and spook-tacular Halloween....Monday we are going on a haunted hayride to kick off Chad's birthday, which is Tuesday. Very exciting!

The latest

I have been a baaaddd blogger. (and I don't mean baaaddd as in bad-ass...just plain old bad) Life has been quite busy here in Cali...I started a new job in July at a place called Supperclub. There are various Supperclubs world wide..the concept is dinner in bed with live performance art throughout a 4 course meal to entertain, shock, and delight. It is such a FUN place to work! I am having a ball there. Every two weeks we dress up in different themed costumes...my favorite so far has been 80's Prom
The next two weeks is Vampire themed...I get to wear fangs! Check out the Supperclub website It is very avant-garde and different than any dining experience I have ever seen or heard of. It turns into a nightclub after dinner service and I am happy to report I do NOT work the club. Just dinner is enough for me to pay my bills and allow me time during the day for all my other ventures... I have been a busy bee; writing/conceptualizing for two seperate projects: 1. is a comedy webisode 2. a feature film. Both projects I have a writing partner and have written myself an acting role as well...let's face it, that's the best way to star in the movie of your choice in Hollywood. ;) There is still much work to be done and I am remaining pretty tight lipped on both until they are shot and ready for your viewing enjoyment...Chad and I recently shot another comedy short in sequel to "Sven Uncool Vampire Blogger 2". The idea started with Chad creating a character called Sven who started a video blog then he shot another "blog" that included me and some friends and the one we just filmed was shot documentary style with interviews like the Office. It is the best one we have done yet...I can't wait to share once the editor is done with it...hopefully by the end of the week and then I will send out the link. In the meantime, here is the one we shot last year(in case you missed it) Watch it here when you have a minute to sit down...it's a short film and it will set you up nicely for the third sequel!!! Also happening in my life right now, I am back in acting class once a week on Mondays and loving every minute of it! Having lots of fun creating on stage. I am beginning to audition again for the first time in a long time...and I have a fresh perspective about the craft. Don't count me out just yet...I have some air time in the future, I promise. On another note, my artwork is still going great....I just found out yesterday I got voted into the semi-finals for RAWartists Los Angeles!!! Five artists from each city were chosen and the winners will be determined after a showcase next month in which a panel of judges will decide. (keep your fingers crossed) If I win, I would have so many opportunities to showcase my art in ,magazines, galleries, and get some free art supplies to boot. The award show will be held at Mann's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd(same place Chad had his premiere last year!) Check out more here

Some other fun tid bits....I started as a mentor for Young Storytellers Foundation last week. I will be part of a group of mentors that assist 5th graders in writing their very own screen play. After 8 weeks the kids scripts come to life in "The Big Show". I have acted in the Big Show 2 years in a row and this year I am a mentor! It is such a fulfilling experience to see these children's creativity come to fruition on the stage. I'm really excited to dive into week 2 this Thursday! I am still volunteering at Cedars Sinai Hospital in the pediatrics Dept on Friday mornings. Last week me and a few of the kids there made a huge wall mural(on paper-can be removed) of Hallowwen inspired art...there were talking pumpkins, cats, and spiders and LOTS of glitter...oh my...I had glitter in my hair by the end of it! All in all... I am feeling very blessed for the goodness in my days. On Sunday I went Apple Picking too!!

It was awesome. A little place called Willow Brook (1.5 hours east from LA) I indulged in mini apple cinnamon doughnuts-THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! I brought lots of goodies home for Chad, who stayed behind...he has been having some ear issues...we are back to the Dr today to investigate that further. Please keep him in your prayers that he finds some relief with all this ear business. We are hoping he has his final surgery this December and after healing from that he won't be plagued with pain anymore... On a brighter note...he will be filming a movie next week called "Decoding Amy Parker". There are great actors in the film and he is really excited to have gotten the part! I'll fill you in with more details after he films! October is my favorite time of the year...the crisp air rolls in and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas as well and spending time with family. I will be looking into tickets to fly home in the next week or so...I will keep you all posted!
