sunday funday

I have kinda been in a funk as of late...Mercury Retrograde may be one contributing factor...anyway, amongst the lulls in life friends seep in and help out. Sunday... a bbq to honor the passing of some one very dear to a friend of mine...so Lyndsay and I hugged our friend and laughed and talked and oohed and ahhed over cutie pie baby Seqouia Rose, a couple weeks old! Then Lyndsay and I said our good-byes and headed to Sunset Junction. This is an event that happens once a year in Los Angeles...Silverlake to be exact. I had never been and wanted to see what all the hype was about! So we went and ejoyed music from artists I had never heard before and am glad to know of now..saw groovy art and creativity all around me, enjoyed beer from a plastic cup and the smells and tastes of all the good food. It was fun and brought me back to days of The Home Town Fair. Nothing is better then good times with good friends. SO...we con't our day into night and a another bbq..this time at Chad and I's casa...Lyndsay's boyfriend joined and we ate by candle light in our backyard hide out...a corner under a huge tree with garden lights and plants and flowers and my little garden shack hutch I got many moons ago from another dear friend, Shauna. So we had this great little ambience and great grilled food..salmon, steak, skewered veggies, wild rice and corn on the cob. yummmmmyyyyyy...ohhhh, and smores for dessert!!!! Then we all cozied up and watched True Blood!!!! My absolute FAVORITE show right now!!!!!! That is until Sons of Anarchy starts it's new season! WHew eeeee!!!! So....anyway, Sunday was a good day...with good people...and I felt better. :)

Life is changing everyday, some days faster than others...or so it seems. As I've graciously entered my 30's I find myself looking at all things from different perspectives. Something like a bird who flew to a new perch, one where the only view is possibility. "The time has come the Walrus said..." to let creativity over flow to the canvas, the stage, the page...
Like molten lava that's been unknowingly perserved, now can't help but cover everything it touches...undeniable goodness. saSSaFrass art ...one seed was planted 4 years ago and is now beginning to flourish...




I am slowly but surely turning my once small time hobby into a full blown business... and it excites me to my soul!!! New paths are being carved out in many directions. I'm writing and learning the process of a craft(acting) that has taken centuries to deepen. I am proud to be a part of epic ideas that carefully hold purpose to the human condition. And in that I've found my purpose...purpose to create. Share my experiences of life thru little nuances and colors in all kinds of mediums. Endless abundance of ideas and inspiration sprouting out of me everyday..I can't keep up fast enough...it's time to make more room for these things. The little joys in my life that are suddenly not so little and a whole lot defining. So, here I am... check me out...keep checking back...Posting brand new works this weekend!!!
